Something spontaneous and wonderful happened recently that I just must report on. Thanks to my friend and business coach, Nancy Marmolejo of Comadre Coaching. Handmade Galleries had a visit from the Crafty Chica! Now, we have had our share of celeb shoppers in the store and we try to maintain their privacy and anonymity (mostly because I don't recognize them) however I just can't contain myself! Also exciting is the fact that she may rent space and join our group of artists in March. Possibly also a book signing or a make-and-take workshop later in the year. We'll keep you posted for info on new artists when you sign up for our Mailing List.
In conjunction with Crafty Chica's visit, and because of a great brainstorming session with Anita Larson of The Web Muse & Co. who came up with the idea for a gift giving service, Nancy connected me with her sister who was happy to help dial us in to some corporate gift buyers. Dinner ensued with Nancy, her sister, Crafty Chica, her Crafty Sister-in-Law and me and my two kids! What a pleasure it is when you can do business in alignment with your philosophy of working with people who would normally be your friends. Surely, this is a sign from the Universe that we are on the right path.
